From TLS episode "Together for Christmas" originally aired 12/24/62.
Fed up with each other's different Christmas traditions, Lucy and Vivian destroy each other's Christmas trees.

I just loved this version of "Lucy" when she was Carmichael and Vance was Viv. I don't know how many seasons there were of this but all the episodes were top notch. They NEVER run this particular series of Lucy on TV anywhere, but you see I LOVE LUCY on TV somewhere all the time. I don't get that. She had other series even after this one that you don't see anywhere either. I have NEVER seen them run the version from the 70's when her own 2 real children played her children - "Here's Lucy".

A classic scene! Used to love watching this on Nick at Nite as a kid. Lucy & Viv were 1 of the best comedic teams ever. I had this episode on tape but it got destroyed. :( I guess I'll have to spring for the DVDs because I miss this show. Still, maybe I'm in the minority on this, but I do think I Love Lucy was better than The Lucy Show. Lucy was always brilliant, but the writing and situations were funnier on her first show (with the exception of this Xmas episode and a couple others). JMO!

I have this episode. The carolers get them very sentimental with their singing. At the end, they wish each other Merry Christmas with a big hug and they shed a tear. The way they react to each other at that moment, you know they are not acting. That's what made this episode special for me
