John Palafoutas, Co-Chair, Task Force on the Future of American Innovation, and Senior Vice-President of Domestic Policy & Congressional Affairs for the AeA, opens up the November 8, 2007, event "Sputnik in the YouTube Age."
This event was attended by over 150 Hill staffers, students, academic and industry leaders, and guests to hear from former-NASA Astronauts Mae Jemison and Kathryn Sullivan on why government investment in science, math and engineering research and education are critical.
The event was held in the U.S. Congress Rayburn House Office Building and was held in conjunction with the Congressional Research and Development (R&D) Caucus. Additional speakers included the Caucus Co-Chairs Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ) and Rep. Judy Biggert (R-IL).
