School summer holidays 1973 - I was 9.. very windy day...hardly a penny between us - but 4 of us managed to put what we had together and bought a kite...30p from the local shop. We got it up in the air - and it stayed there for 7 hours!!! We tied it to a post - and worked 'shifts' to 'look after it'. Organisation, teamwork and fun - and not a computer in sight.... (:

I just found out how this song came about. The composers father inspired this song because he was a kite maker. I didnt know that. I thought that was pretty interesting.
