I tried King's Gambit after this game and was down a lot of material after 3 moves.

That was horrible, black had a great game basically the whole time, you would have to go out of your way to play that horribly at the end

I like this, and similar to other comments I question why Ng6 is poor. I saw your d4 move "planning on taking with bishop on c1" but wouldn't black's response be d1? wouldn't eventually king move to d1 after white Ne5 etc? I'm not sure how this could play out for checkmate, or even black's favor..... but still very cool! :)

what if black move knight from g8 to h6 to support pawn in f7, instead of the nonsense bishop f8 to g7. Therefore, King's Gambit still losing the game.

@linxkulit well white could respond d4 planning on taking with bishop on c1 therefore winning a piece hence f7 will still be attacked for mate
