  • Why the hell hire an amazing bass player like Rob Trujillo, and bury him so deep in the mix, you can't hear the bass! The bass should definitely have been audible in the album mix, it would have sounded a lot better if it had been! It was the same with Cliff, and Jason on the "Justice" album. You may as well have no bass player if you're going to mix them out of the album! Rob is a beast of a bass player!

  • Robert Trujillo is technically better than Cliff. But keep in mind Rob has atleast 20 years of bass playing on Cliff Burton. Think about where Cliff would be skill-wise if he was still alive.

  • it proves that Rob is a hell of bassist. It's a true shame that his bass is buried in the final mix...

Nobody is better than nobody here, each bassist had (and has) his own technique.

It's sad that Cliff is dead, but Rob undoubtly can fill his shoes. I hope that in their new album the bass gets the appropriate mix

  • @MetalliMagic Great examples of musicians, I do like them actually. Through Les Claypool in there too. Knowing music theory gives you a better understanding of instruments as a whole rather your own, so it makes composed materials go more smoothely. I can say for myself I have a better understanding of instruments rather than my own bass.

  • @stenback31289 Yeah, but I don't think you realize MANY other basses also of good music theory, for example there is Victor Wooten, or John Entwistle, but just because you know music theory doesn't make you a good bass player or guitar player or even a drum player, it just means you know good compisition and songwriting skills not how good you can play an instrument. I can respect that cliff knew how to wright songs, and turn them into something great, but that doesn't make him a great bassist.

  • 2:22 Cool

  • @MetalliMagic the notes you play doesn't determine a better bass player, that is just cliff's preference. A lot of people who think Cliff is overrated don't realize the influence he had on the band. Cliff taught a lot of technique and music theory to James. He was a great composer. So he doesn't play a million mph, he said it himself, he's not trying to be something big and fancy. Cliff tends to follow the drums a set the rhythm like a true bassist, where rob and Jason follow rhythm

  • @mancleave He has at least 20 because he is alive. If Cliff was alive the song and all their albums after Ride the Lightning would've been a lot more thrashier.

  • Jason Newsted dislike the video.

  • es muy genial o.o

  • robert trujillo is technically better than cliff, but cliff was musically better than rob

  • @AngelicStorm1 pulling a Justice i guess. old habits die hard :P
