****REMINDER KEVIN IS NOT IN A COMA YET. oh, and, I'm trying a new writing style that I've seen a lot of people use, so give me feedback please.****
**Kat's POV**
Girl: Oh my god! You're Kat Calina!
I smiled at the girl. She looked to be about 10 years old. "Yes, I am. How did you know that?"
Girl: I read your book! *smiles proudly*
"Really?" I asked, smiling. "Which one?"
Girl: *digs in her book bag and pulls out a large hardcover depicting the sun and moon on either side. Underneath the moon was a girl with long hair and a dark stain spreading down her dress, starting from her mouth. Underneath the sun was a boy with short hair that was halfway between a transformation into a wolf.* It's my favorite!
I smiled wider.. "I'm glad you liked it"
Girl: *strokes the silver title: 'Bonds by Blood'* There's going to be a sequel, right? My friends all say that you're not going to write a sequel, but you just HAVE to! You ended it with Jessica escaping Arthur. But he hadn't died yet! and she still hadn't gotten together with Alexander! and Nile was still ignoring her! and Jessica still hadn't completely come to terms with being a vampire. and Nile was still a grumpy stupid werewolf! and...
I held my hand up to still the arguments. "You are right. I left a lot open, didn't I?"
Girl: Are you going to do a sequel?
She looked so eager, so I decided to let her in on that secret. I leaned forward. "What's your name?"
Girl: Annabelle. But my mommy calls me Annie, or Bells, or Annie-Bells.
"Well, Annabelle, you're quiet correct. I am working on my sequel. I'm perhaps, halfway through." Annabelle squealed with joy.
Annabelle: Really?? Wait until I tell Jay, Gabrielle and Sofi! They read it too! But.... *face falls* They probably won't believe me that I actually met you.
I reached to my back pocket and found my pen. "Tell you what, Annabelle. How about I sign your book? That way you have total proof that you've met me"
Annabelle: REALLY?
I opened her book to the front cover and wrote: 'For Annabelle, my biggest fan I've ever met. I'm very happy you read my book and I want you to keep an eye out for your sequel. Sincerely, Kat Calina'
Annabelle: *squeals with joy* THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!! *throws her arms around me*
I laughed and hugged her back. "Where's your mother, Annabelle. She's probably worried about you"
Annabelle: Oh right! Bye Miss Calina! *runs off toward a woman with black hair that passed her shoulders. She was holding her husband's hand and when Annabelle got there, she crouched down to see why she was so excited. As Annabelle lifted the book to show her mom the note I had written, her mother looked up at me and I saw the spark of recognition in her chocolate brown eyes that I got at the same time. I waved at her and she beckoned me over.
Jasmine{BTW I changed your age, Jazz. You're 30 now.... cause you have a daughter}: Kat! It's been so long since I saw you last!
I hugged my old friend. "Much too long, I'm saying. I didn't hear about this" I smiled at her husband.
Jasmine: Oh! Kat, you remember Taylor, right? I;m sure Kevin introduced you at the family Christmas party!
I nodded and held my hand out to Taylor. "It's good to see you again Mr. Launter." He shook my hand too.
Jasmine: *puts her hand on Annabelle's head* And I hear you've met my little Annie-bells already.
Annabelle: *staring, wide-eyed* You know her, mommy?
Jasmine: *smiles at her daughter* You remember my favorite cousins? Kevin, Joe and Nick?
Annabelle: *nods* Of course! They gave me Skye!
Jasmine: *whispers to me* Skye is her dalmatian. *turns back to Annabelle* Well, Kat is dating Uncle Kevin.
Annabelle: Really?? *looks at me*
I crouched down next to her again "Really. And, speaking of that boy, I should get going. I'm glad I met you Annabelle, hopefully I'll see you again soon" I hugged her again and then tapped the book. "Keep this safe" I winked.
Annabelle: Oh, I will! Don't worry Miss Calina! I'll keep it safer than anything ever!
I smiled again and then stood to say goodbye to Jasmine. "It was great to see you Jazz!"
Jasmine: *smiles* Wow, I haven't been called that since the last time I saw those crazy boys.
"I hope you'll visit often? I'd love to see you all again soon"
Jasmine: I most certainly will. It's been much too long since I last saw everybody. I'll give Kevin a call later this afternoon.
I hugged her. "See you soon then, Jazz. And, it was a pleasure to meet you again Mr. Launter" I shook his hand again before turning and continuing my walk. What a wonderful coincidence that had been. When I finally reached Kevin's door, I knocked a couple times before letting myself in. "Honey. I'm home!"
