The Coal Cracker Classic is the resurrection of a bike race that was held in Tamaqua, PA over 6 years ago. Through the dedication of enthusiastic volunteers and the assistance of many local business and organizations, we have been able to once again bring this unique race back to our community. Please come out and support/race our event to ensure it will be here again for many years to come! Thanks for your interest and support and we look forward to seeing you on 9/11/11!

Great video. Looks like a lovely fun easy trail. But looks are deceiving! In 6 years of MASS races I've never ridden a more brutal course. There were sections that were steeper and gnarlier than a Norba DH! And the climbs? I would have been OK with a crew and a rope! The course came out to 18.5 miles on my computer, and I hiked at least 6 of them! One of the ladies on the course said, "no wonder there was no pre-riding, no one would have come back!"
See ya next year!
