I can see where you might be going with this.

Anybody who can play football very well at the colliegiate level deserves a lot of credit, and if they make it to the NFL (an even bigger honor) and it doesn't go very well, we shouldn't discredit their career.

On the other hand some players are so dominant that the only things that stand between them and stardom are drug addictions (Mandarich), Compulsive gambling (Schliechter) and complete absence of work ethic.

mandarich was only dominante because he took steroids, his fall wasnt drug addiction, only reason he was good was his addiction to performancing enhancing drugs.

Sanchez will have the best career
 out of the three theirs no doubt but freeman will be a bust

Dude, Bosworth actually went out and performed better than a lot of linebackers, even first rounders. He just made so much hype for himself and got injured into being known as a bust.

I agree. Bosworth would have had a good 10-year career if it wasn't for his injuries.

As for Marinovich, why did that guy come out early? What a big mistake. The Raiders passed up Favre for this guy?

Matthew Stafford will be a stud in the NFL. Sanchez will be a dud of a bust. Sanchez is an overzealous kid who wants the keys to a franchise that he will end up wrecking. The Jets have to answer and pay for the sins they commited against Eric Mangini !

Wrong, he won the SB MVP for returning one lousy kickoff for a TD. If you're the 4th pick in the draft you have to be a lot more than just a good return specialist. As a WR he was horrendous. Less than 1600 yards receiving over a 10 year career as the 4th pick in the draft. That is disgraceful!

matt stafford has bust all written over him. 2nd round value drafted 1st overall, mistake prone, and in a lions team that has no shows of having turned into a winning franchise. this all smells pretty bad
