Pink Grand Piano Popup 3D Card

Made as a birthday card for a friend. Depicts a pink grand piano with the lid in partially-open position, accompanied by flowers, stray sheet music and pink hi-top shoes in the corner.

Thematically, I had wanted a more ethereal setting, but somehow this barefoot-in-the-park feel seemed to make more sense at the moment.

The asymetrical nature of the piano made it especially challenging to figure out and design, but as always, was still fun to make. And again, I couldn't help myself and threw on some little butterflies!

Hope my friend likes it, even though it is arriving so very late.

base dimensions: 6 x 3 x 4 cm
floating back compartment: 1/5 x 8, 1.5 x 3 and 1.5 x 8 cm.
keyboard width : about 5cm by .7cm
keyboard set= 2cm above floor

hinge angle= bisected 90' angle (45 deg + 45 deg)
