Thanks, I know it has many many applications but I don't have time to work on them. That is the reason why I released the source code. I was hoping other people would do something with it, but I have yet to see anything like that... :)

The wiimote has motion tracking hard wired into it. Yeah you can do it in software like this but it's slower.

I think the biggest problem would be making it wireless. The wiimote works the oposite way of this system. You swing around the camera and the IR-leds are stationary. How usefull would it be to make a wired version of the wiimote? Perhaps it's worth a try

Check out the video 5s5EvhHy7eQ and all the other wiimote videos from the user jcl5m.

He uses the wiimote in reverse and comes up with some really cool stuff using the wiimotes IR tracking capabilities.
