Look down to Mexico and check some records, there are some answers for your what ifs:
1.- He gets killed (do some search on Luis Donanldo Colosio... oh wait, you already have JFK!)
2.- Our representatives are human, most of them have only one shot and take as much as they can.
3.- Most Americans are afraid to loose ther life style. Mexicans? We are too afraid of getting busted, punished, erased, neutralized.... we all tend to keep things the way they are so far.

yeah, like they said in zeitgeist, "war is a great business"... they get lots of people killed just for the money... it's a shame that most of people renounce to see the truth. I live in Europe though x) but unfortunately what happens in the USA have large concequences all over the world...
