@aspiringdrummer17 : Well if you look closely there are two main differences that are obvious enough to not make the mistake in my opinion. First of the bolt has a different shape on each rifle. Second the magazine slot is closer to the trigger on the SV-98, and magazine itself has a very recognizable screw-looking thing.

@CrossroadsReloaded That's true. The SV-98 does bare quite an uncanny resemblance to the Arctic Warfare (L96) though, moreso than any other bolt-action sniper rifle. In some aspects they are virtually identical and this leaves me rather suspicious given that quite a few Russian designs are often 'inspired' by Western designs, be it guns, aircraft, ships etc. The Russians probably like what they saw in the L96 and simply wanted to produce something similar. Can't blame them for that.
