  • It's safer to play the pedals with shoes on. I have known some folks who have broken a toe, or worse on those hard wood pedals. Playing without shoes,of course.

  • @DainGerrUsss Yes I know. I did not have my shoes with me that day, I normally do play with shoes though.

  • Lovely melody, pretty lady, great footwork, and very gorgeous feet (next time please do it without the socks)

  • @lamepiemujer for that piece that I was playing, I can't play it without socks or shoes, because my feet stick for certain pedal parts. Otherwise yes, I would.

  • sorry for the 5+ seconds delay

  • wearing nylons also won't stick to the pedals

  • I haven't heard of any broken toe scenarios from playing barefoot; can't see how it's possible due to the amount of force required to break it as well. I never play with shoes on but would not go as far as to play barefoot; I like to be able to slide around over the pedals and if barefoot, there is the possibility of getting a splinter off some of the wood work - like the flooring around the pipe organ. Shoes are optional - I can't justify the extra expense and baggage. IT ISN'T UN-PROFESSIONAL!

  • @REPTILESRUL Do you know what we do in Florida? When my cousin plays in her barefeet, after getting on the organ bench, she wipes a generous amount of Johnsons baby powder on the bottom of her feet. She says her feet dont stick on the pedals, but they slide about as needed. You might try this little trick. Then make a few more videos barefoot.
