1968 chevy small block, bored .030, new pistons, redone 2.02/1.60 heads (not double hump =[ ) all new bearings, new mild rv cam shaft and hydraulic lifters, new pushrods and roller tip rocker arms, polished crank, new timing chain and gears, new harmonic balancer, chrome timing chain cover, chrome valve covers, HEI distributor with transparent cap crappy chrome water pump that leaks (not permanent) holley 450cfm carb (not big enough as you can hear by) but it was given to me almost new and works for me. its leaking a little bit of oil out of the crappy cork oil pan gasket. this video would be longer but sadly i dont have enough gas, expect a longer video of it running in the future. har har look at my high performance altenator bracket and radiator stand and fan for cooling radiator...............traded this for an 82 dodge truck......... that i sold

  • what did you put that small block in with the hedders routed that way? looks good hope you propperly broke it in 20 min at 2000 rpm.looks good in the orange hows the paint holding up?

  • i didnt put it in anything i traded it for my dodge pickup truck i had to have the headers that way to run it on the stand otherwise they would hit the ground, i didnt have it long enough to break it in, the orange paint is holding up ok.

  • What a beast!!

  • thanks

  • I noticed you mentioned a crappy cork oil pan gasket. Well they now make a one piece oil pan gasket that is rubber. Mine is a fel pro and was around $30.00 I also have a 327 in a 68' camaro.

750cfm holley, comp cams 286H-10 magnum, weiand team-g, aluminum heads, 11:2:1 compression... Big block stomper. I just pulled it again today to have it dynoed and solve some problems, When we start it on the stand i'll try and get a vid and post it.

  • yea i put one of those on later and it made it better, i think it ended up being a bad cheap chrome timing cover, it was either because it was chrome or i think it might have been slightly bent, got rid of it before i got to fix it

  • Are you the kid that goes to cvcc in the other video

  • amazing .. thanks for sharing .. god bless

  • very nice but don't those handles get a little hot?

  • @lostbuffalo "crappy cork oil pan gasket."... and when you bolt down the pan and valve covers put sealant on the threads and tighten just enough or the tacky sealant to start to squish out...not tight enough for the gasket to squish out.

Nothing wrong with those cork gaskets just gotta know how to use them the right way.

  • "crappy cork oil pan gasket."...

Put a small dab of silicone in the gaskets corner seams...coat the block, pan, and both sides of the crappy gaskets with 2 coats permatex aviation type, Indian head... just old fashioned coal tar gasket varnish...let it tack up....put it together... let it sit a day or more before you get it oily.

    it will never leak

do the same thing on the timing cover, intake and valve covers but on the valve covers use wheel bearing grease or silicone tween gasket and heads

  • hope it's not too new, idling that long

  • That'd be a pretty sweet lawnmower.

  • A ghost put gas in it haha.

  • @garrylafferty100 description..

  • dude why dont u stop being a tool an put it in something like a car fagg
