  • Goosebump rendition. Anyone have "Guess Who I Saw Today" by Eydie?

  • There is nothing Bab's had that Eydie didn't voice wise! She was a vocal dynamo and could get right to the core of a lyrics meaning. I played both these ladies records to bits and admired and adored Eydie as much as her label mate Barbra for her big brassy, voice that could also be soft tender and beautiful.Puzzled I watched Babs ascend to the heights and Eydie become part of Steve and Eydie and stop recording solo. Criminally underrated. A truly great artist and a fabulous diva.

  • This will be sung by a gay male character (David Gamble) in the revival with Harry Connick Jr! Hope he's a belter!

  • I have to tell you that every time I hear this song it reminds me of my mom who would play that album all over and over around the house when I was growing up and I would be listening to Boss radio 93 KHJ and all that related music. I am very grateful to have had that diversity of music when I did and it will always make my eyes tear up every time I hear that particular Eydie Gorme' song and think of her....Thanks so much for the posting.

  • Best version ever of this great Lerner/Lane song from "On A Clear Day You Can See Forever" (Forgive me, Babsie, but you ain't even close!). Eydie's dynamic vocal coupled with a chart by one arranger who really understood singers, Don Costa, makes it a mind-blower every time you hear it.

  • great voice always

  • great voice always

  • @MikeWilliamsonMusic Totally agree, Mike! Two amazing albums. "Eyde Swings The Blues" (from either '57 or '58) show that she was one hip chick. Steve & Eydie are inexplicably, criminally underrated singers and performers. Garland, Streisand and Gorme set the standard that remains unsurpassed.

  • @450984 I just wrote that she was underrated this morning. I have been a huge Eydie fan for 41 years this July. Her voice blew me away when I was five and it still does at almost forty-six.

  • I enjoyed her music as a kid and appreciate it even more now that I'm older. Are there any artists like this today?
