Oh, God. She's just really bad as a singer. Her vowels are awful, and her voice SO whiny. But, her acting is beautiful. I wish her and Linda would combine their powers and make the best performer the world has ever seen.

@POTOskaterJMchic I sing this almost totally in head voice. Especially since it's difficult to belt the higher parts. I do a strong mix when it's necessary- it can be just as powerful, if used well. The point is the put emotion and energy behind the notes, not to hit them in a specific register. As long as you hit them and aren't straining, and have the necessary support to properly convey the intention of the lyric, it'll sound good. Plus, all voices are different. Hope this helps!

What a Voice...especially since she was around 20 when she performed this!
Comparing her with Linda is like comparing apples and oranges. Coleen has ,in my opinion, a much rawer portrayal than Linda, and that comes through in the musical choices she makes. Does Lucy need to have the full power that Linda possesses? Or can she be vulnerable and lonely...less confident in herself, therefore singing with less force to show Lucy's very intricate emotions?
Plus, Linda was older when she sang Lucy.

I heard the OBC version of this first, but Coleen is hands down my favorite Lucy. Sayin she isnt as good as Linda isnt polite. Shes just different!
