Dating Game show- Dave Hoover

In 1979 I appeared on the Dating Game. I had just started my career in animation, had moved far from home for the first time, and I decided I wanted to try to get on TV. I had two reasons for this; one was so that my Mom could see me, and the other reason was to give a Tarzan yell on TV. I have to warn you, the quality is poor. This was just before I had gotten a VCR, so in order to save it for posterity my brother filmed it off of the TV with his super-8 movie camera. There is one small bit missing, when the girl asks the first question. My brother had to switch film cartridges, so he missed just a few seconds. The question she asked was, "Why don't men shave their legs instead of women?" Expect dumb questions and even dumber answers. It's worth a few chuckles!

Oh no, I'm embarrassed all over again. I had this on VHS for years, finally had it converted to a DVD. I put it up here to show friends, with great reservation on my part. Great meeting you this weekend, you're so talented. I was on the phone when you left, never said good bye and good luck. So I'm saying it now.
