Filmed on 25th July 2010~ I travel alot from Ohio to Tennessee,as I am originally from Tennessee. This video is on Stinking Creek Rd.If you are traveling south bound I-75 from Kentucky and just passed the Kentucky State line into Tennessee, you will see Stinking Creek Rd on exit 144. When you take that exit, you will come to a "T",this video shot part of Stinking Creek Rd is left at the "T" and will take you to Hwy 63. This is my most favorite part of the whole drive as this is a peaceful and beautiful scenic route. Stinking Creek Rd connects to Hwy 63 and on to Hwy 27 (which is where I need to go) ------ NOTE: This video was actually shot leaving from Hwy 63 and headed toward north bound I-75 as I was on my way back to Ohio -----

I used a simple pocket sized camera to shoot this video. It is a Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital ELPH, 7.1 Mega Pixfls.
My wife drove and I was the passenger.I simply had the window rolled down, turn the camera on and place my arm and hand out the windown and placed the camera on the car's roof.I had no way of knowing if this video was going to come out ok until it was all over. I thought it came out pretty good.

  • i've been traveling from Piqua, Ohio to Careyville, Tenn. every summer for about 10 years now and ive never been on Stinking Creek Rd. Ive always wanted to drive on it but i always end up going straight through on I-75

  • @Bucks311 What a small world this is. I don't live far from you then,I'm in Tipp City,Ohio area. One day you should just turn off on Stinking Creek Rd and just drive through it,once you reach Hwy.63 ,you can just turn back around and get back on I-75 S. I think Stinky Creek road is about 3 miles long. Since having grown up in Tennessee, there are alot of nice peaceful routes Ive been on,this one is just one of my favorites.

  • @nazfan01 it is a small world. I know of a couple great scenic routes around Caryville from just exploring the area. Hwy 63 comes right through there doesnt it?

  • @Bucks311 Yes,63 does come through Careyville, just depending how you look at it. If you go South 75 and take the Stinky Creek exit, once you reach the end of Stinky Creek, you will take a left turn. But that left hand turn takes you on Howard Baker Hwy which ends up back on I75 and north of Careyville. If you turn right from Stinky Creek you will eventually take a left again and hit old Tn 63 south. That is a back road that goes through Buckeye,Hickey and Silica before hitting Careyville
