  • These hybrid and Slatt belts are great for speed, but one thing should ALWAYS be emphasized with these belts- they're belts second, and fast cord first. If you normally wear a belt, it should be noted that these do stretch, and so do Slatts (not the same but another linear weave). If you need actual support, just go with a cobra weave- it'll be WAY slower to unweave, but you'll also get about an extra 100 foot of cord. So decide between speeds. Nice belts though... very top-notch and fast.

  • @eightbitpotion Very good points. Since this video, we've also developed a weave that looks very similar to the Cobra weave, doesn't stretch, and packs in quite a bit more cord, but still comes apart fast like our previous belts. However, like the Cobra weave belts, it is only available in D-Rings and plastic Side Release buckles. I'll have to do a video showcasing the new style.

  • you guys should give credit were its due for these belts ...Philip Sinnet-Slattery ....The Slatts Rescue Belt knot

  • @elninoisere If we had actually used the Slatts Rescue knot, credit would indeed be given. However, even a cursory examination reveals that this is a different weave, which is our own proprietary design.

  • I really like the belt but I carry a lot of items on mine (knife, flashlight, etc.). Do you think a PreparaCord belt could put up to that kind of stress?

If not maybe a PreparaCord Strap would be better for me and just use it on some gear.

  • @CaptainFur Thanks for the comment! I always wear my belt and frequently carry my folding knife by sliding the belt clip through the weave, and I haven't noticed any undue wear. We've also started putting an extra d-ring on as well that you could clip something to. If you're concerned about weight, I doubt that the belt would come apart because of your extra items, but it may cause the weave to tighten, which would stretch the belt. Hope this helps!

  • Hey, we love this video! That's an awesome use of paracord, and a really great way to carry that much with you!

  • Nice belt. Thanks for sharing.

  • your belts and bracelets use an interesting weave i havent seen before, what is it? It looks almost like a cross between a cobra stitch and a zipper sinnet

  • @SurvivorGeekVideos Thank you for the reply and "stretching" could be an issue.

But I'm really thinking of buying one after I pick up the Bushman. :-)
