As far as other mics. You can use any mic that has the standard 3.5mm jack. But you still need the Olympus SEMA mic input.

The mic I used for this video was the Nikon ME-1. In order to use a mic on this camera you have to use the Olympus SEMA adapter. Unfortunately that takes up the hot shoe port so you can't use the electronic viewfinder attachment or an LED light for continuous lighting. You would need a double bracket.

What was the external mic that you attached there? Also, do you know what are the options for external mic's that will fit on an EP-3? Any Rode products? Great video ; )

Whats the name of the bracket your using to hold the mic? I am trying to find it online.

Its a bracket that comes with our LED 9 video light. Thats why at the begining of the video you see the video light in the back.
Type LED 9 on our website madisonphoto

Is the artifacting that we see in this clip, from your encoding, or is this native to the quality of the video output from this sensor? I just purchased an E-PL3 that I haven´t received yet.

Its the encoding. I am using adobe premiere elements and the encoding isn't that great. Rendering videos is sometimes a nightmare.
