How to Overclock a Nintendo 64

Your kind of right. The n64 doesn't even have that many hertz. Overclocking is increasing the clock multiplier frequency so that it multiplies the speeds. The n64 run at around 66mhz normally at 1.0x I think (might be 1.5) but then you do all the soldering and such and then you can have the clock frequency at 2.0x increasing it to around 120mhz.

Overclocking is not 'giving' it more FPS. What happens is you're increasing the gHZ in the processor core of the gaming console (You can do this with a computer or any other major console). So lets say for instance the N64 has one processor and is running at 2.0 gHZ (Normal). We would overclock it to 3.0 gHZ which would increase frame rates but would make it heat up A LOT.

For all those idiot's out there that didn't read the comments but happened to see this one. THIS ASS HOLE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT. overclocking isn't boosting the fps. overclocking is about making you cpu/gpu go faster.

can you do a video of this process to show the newbs what the hell your talking about please.
