  • Who's the mysterious dancer in the background? Or was that some kind of reflection off the TV screen?

  • This section is the opening of a 20 minute work of original choreography to 7 Bach Cello Suites. The performance was in NYC last February and this video was recorded during dress rehearsal. The video artist was standing in the audience stage left, so that the cellist (Emmanuel Feldman) was in the foreground. The dancer was performing on a 30 x 40 stage in solo. The cellist was on the side.

  • i agree... but my problem with most versions of this song is that i feel its rushed. this song is much more beautiful at a much slower pace.

  • Does a solo requires more inventive than a concerto coreography? For musicians many times a solo needs more detail conscience, for coreographers is the same?

  • ya interesting

  • The dancer was dancing to the music of Bach.

  • theres only 6 suites....

  • Im not a cello player ,the music was ok, but was that good dancing?

and why was that person dancing certainly not to the cellist

  • Who is the dancer?

    Beautiful video
