This made for tv docudrama stars Meredith Baxter-Birney as Betty Broderick, a former San Diego socialite convicted of the November 5, 1989 murder of her former husband Dan Broderick and his second wife, Linda Kolkena. After sixteen years of marriage and four children, Betty Broderick's high-powered attorney husband, Dan Broderick (Stephen Collins), decides to leave her for Linda Kolkena (Michelle Johnson) with whom he's been having an affair. Hurt by his betrayal and feeling helpless against his legal expertise, Betty begins a campaign of vandalism and verbal assault. Her rage consumes her and ultimately leads to a terrible and violent act.

  • Betty didn't "go insane" or "lose it" due to betrayal. She was obviously a severe narcissist LONG before the affair. She now talks about all the abuse, being raped on her wedding night, and yet she didn't leave. Talk about no self-respect (and no female role-model). She loved being a rich, suburban socialite and when Dan fucked up and cheated, her perfect image of herself was shattered. The selfish bitch sought revenge, fucked her kids over, and 20 yrs later still thinks the world owes her.

  • murder isn't the answer just get out if things get bad

  • Indeed, the wife is guilty to have killed the couple, but it all started with the husband's betrayal. It is not fair to the wife, she sacrificed her whole life for her family. Taking everything away from her is the cause of her craziness. Both of them are guilty!

  • That's why "we" woman need to make our own money. u need a hustle. stop having all these babies.

  • dam!

  • I kno this is suppose to be a serious movie..but some parts i find very...HILARIOUS

  • What I don't understand is why the husband parks in the street in front of his own house?

  • What a nag. No wonder he left.

  • I don't condone what he did, but at the same time, I'm not sitting on death row for ANY MAN.

  • @marvinfloyd Stupid comment alert
