@fadedyouthtube Maybe, but I think the lyrics dictate that his voice be present. Sorry, but I find it silly to have her crooning about cannon balls flying around her head when it's clear that this character was hundreds of miles from the battlefield. To me, Sting does just enough.

Remember this great movie getting best picture,director,screenplay,be­st actress for Kidman nominations at the golden globes n basically being bullied at the oscars.Same thing with the talented mr.Ripley,Minghellas films seemed more appreciated abroad. Or maybe it was punishment for rewarding his mediocre TEP with 9 oscars. The point is that except for Zellweger,this movie REALLY deserved an oscar for best song.It´s brilliant...and Seales cinematography.
