I had picked up all chester's toys and put them on his cage and left for about 5 minutes - came back and they were all on the floor again, so I put them back up on his cage and started recording immediately and this is how he likes to play with his toys
Everything he has for loose toys are things such as small wood blocks (treated for no splinters) with holes in them to grasp, plastic parts of crittertrail plugs and tubing, bells and pieces of his play gym he's taken apart, and cat balls (only the thick plastic kind... not the platic mesh-type).
All have been checked to ensure they cannot be split, broken or cracked in any way that they could become harmful.
Oh yeah and I get these big jug "toy boxes" from the pet store regularly (because they always disappear) of different shaped, bird safe, wood blocks that are different sizes and have holes in them for good gripping. They are awesome foot toys because the different shapes/sizes works their different muscles well... and apparently Chester likes to give them baths, which keeps him content for hours.

yeah my camera will only zoom in/out when it's not recording for some reason. As soon as I start recording, it doesn't work anymore... it's just a digital camera I am using, so who knows. I watch all Ernie's videos (subscriber!) he cracks me up with his ernie ernie ernie :P

I never thought about baby toys... that's a really good idea... I will have to try that out.

Ernie's and Zoe's toys are cats balls (bird toys we get at the store) and if you buy any sort of toy for a toddler (less than 1 yr old baby) they work great cause they have the best quality and are baby proof... 5*'s!
