Slapshot invited his older brother Winger back to see what the Hockey Nation is doing in D.C. WOW. What a difference from 1995 to 2011. Way to Rock the Red Caps fans! And thank you to that "little brother", Slapshot - the coolest, strongest, classiest, and most loyal mascot a hockey team could want!

  • Swear to god, I have no memory of ever encountering Winger when I started going to hockey games at USAir Arena back in 1994. I know serious fans refer to it as the Capital Centre but the name had been changed when I started paying attention.

  • @TheAnxietyCloset - It's ok, Winger was there for three seasons, one of those being the 94 lockout. When they switched to the black and blue Winger retired and Slapshot took over. And we're happy to know Slapshot is such an awesome eagle!
