the tiger oscar is now around 4 inches long, he shares his side of the 55 gallon tank with a 6" senegal bichir and a 3" pictus and black ghost knife. This is a temporary setup and the oscar will go into another 55 gallon tank thats sitting on top of this one once he gets a little bit bigger.
i wuz going 2 say how big is your tank

@mysteryman052 This is a part of a 55 gallon tank. I seperated it because some of the fish needed a different diet and I didnt have another tank for them at that time, the partition is now gone, I will be putting up a update of that tank in a few minutes now.

@MicFiend1000 Really? when I got him at the pet store he was the one with the most amount of red from all of the tiger oscars available at that time, maybe just that sort of breed. I wanted the most red coloration. although I should say that he changes colors, sometimes the black pattern is blended in with the green/brown color, sometimes hes all black, sometimes all brown. depending on time of day... I hear that wild caught tiger oscars are less colorful, maybe you want to look into that.

@m1ste2tea Yeah i like the red oscars 2 i'm not really a fan of the messy pattern that they get, and atm thats all they have here (western australia) in like every petstore i go 2!!.. i especially hate it on the albino tigers they look like they have a disease! Oh well i'm sure i'll find some i like..

@MicFiend1000 the spattered look of the juvenile oscars evens out a little bit when they get older, the patterns become more pronounced and not as blotchy. but I guess it still isnt what you're looking for. I know there are some varieties of oscars that are almost all one solid color, green oscars, yellow oscars and lemon oscars.
