Coast Watch Wales is a multi agency initiative designed to protect and enhance the security of our coastal border by identifying vessels, aircraft and individuals engaged in criminal activity such as people smuggling, drug importation and organised crime. Following the official video there is a BBC news report filmed on the day of the launch.
With your support, the Coast Watch Wales Team can provide an environment which will ensure those engaged in such activity will be detected, disrupted and prosecuted.
Coast Watch Wales is an amalgamation of specialist officers from maritime and coastal agencies that include the UK Border Agency, Coastguard and Police who are able to respond swiftly to information received and investigate matters that are considered strange, out of place of suspicious.
The primary objective is to make the 750 miles of Welsh coastline and its associated waterways, a safe environment to enjoy.
This video was made by the South Wales Police Media Production Unit.
