This Is My Hand Hammerd Hand Cut Hand Sanded And Hand Made Cymbal its a 14" crash cymbal That can be paired up with another to be used as a hi-hat.

I have made this cymbal as a prototype and practise at a hobby that im hopping to expand to a job or small buisiness.

I used a large peice of sheet metal that i had laying around doing nothing i know steel is not the prefered metal in cymbals but the out come is verry satisfiying and as it was my first atempted at making one it has turned out fine considering it was my first try

Comments are welcome id prefer it if you would not insult me and comment on my cymbal as the video is not about me thanks people i called it apaira simply because i liked the name and as for thrash that is a series name as i plan to make a few more cymbals for a series of them thankyou for watching :)

  • in all honesty i would much prefer it if you would not post any horrible comments to me as i tried my best and it was my first ever attempt at making my own cymbal. I have recently been making far more things such as an ozone cymbal from an old 16 crash cymbal, i have also built a tom stand and cymbal arm. also i have been working on building my own pop snare and tom drum, ill post videos so you can see and hear. Also the reason it sounds crappy is the quality of my phone sound recording.

  • Sorry man, it doesn't sound good at all. But don't let that put you off, you've taken the first step. Just need to try making something thinner, with good metal, you could be onto something :)

  • @ThunderHeads69 thanks man means alot to see i have someone who actually realises it was my first attempt at it i have been looking into buying sheet metal recently so i may try to make another cymbal soon i have also been making other things so ill post some videos thanks for the support :)

  • I actually like it... I'm sure it sounds better when it's drilled in the middle and is placed on a stand. Good work.

  • it's sounds like a ... fail..

  • Not sure if you have already answered this question but what did you use to make the cymbal? I'm considering doing something similar.

  • the worst cymbal iv ever heard

  • keep working at it dude. i know i could never make a cymbal. i think it needs to be a lot thinner though

  • might work as a hi-hat bottom, and drilling a bunch of holes in it might trash it up a bit, and let air escape if you do use it as a hi hat bottom

  • Stick insects.

  • Your pile of shit cymbal doesn't even sound like anything of moderate use. Also that is a cheap shitty stagg hihat, not a crash.

  • 1. use brass

    2. sounds awful but great job in 1st try. never now when you gonna need that effect and with some filters might actually sound nice on "tape"

    3. keep on!

  • nice work my friend, i love homemade stuff! i really like the sound of your crash, keep up the awesome work my friend!!!!!!!
