  • Thanks. It sounds even better when I don't have to slow down for traffic and can get it to redline!

  • The guy in the silver 911 needs to learn to watch his mirrors!

  • How true, how true - Thanks for watching.

  • Priceless! I love my Bugeye. I'd know those sounds anywhere.

What rear gear were you running and what tranny?

    Sounds like a sc/cr box.

  • Hi and thanks for the comment. I've got a Sprite ribcase transmission and I think a 4.55 rear end. We haven't had the rear axle apart yet, but we do need to check the ratio just to make sure what we're running.

  • Well, it's quite a screamer! What r.p.m. were

you turning on the shifts? I LOVED the bit of

"off roading" at the 8:20 point on the video. ;-)

Kudos on a sweet Bugeye and nice display of skills. Can't wait for more videos.

    Mine is a 1380cc with 4.22 diff and a sc/cr box.

  • I've got an MSD ignition with a 7400 rev limiter. In fast turns I keep it between 7000 & 7400 in 3rd gear. It's also got a 1380 with twin 1-1/4 SUs. I had another off-track excursion at Hastings - got to keep the alfalfa mowed! To see it go to search or channel "tadavis1" & pick RMVR Hastings Friday Race 9-4-09. My best race that wkend was the one labeled RMVR Hastings Race 1 - 9-5-09. I missed qualifying & had to start 17th out of 18 cars, but managed to finish 8th. Do you vintage race?

  • Very nice driving!!

Love the sound of your car

  • I thought it sounded like a 1380. I'm running an Aldon yellow dist with a single HIF6 carb and a Longman GT7 head and some other mods. I don't vintage race but did have a little spin around a road course recently and I think I'm hooked. I might go that route. I have a video or two on my channel oldschoolcruiser I'll check out your other videos. I could listen to that engine all day long. 17 and moving that far up? Kudos Anyway, I really enjoyed the video. Expect I'll like the others too.
  • would like to see more pics or details on your setup if possible
