  • Lets face it, this controversy was just racism under the guise of sportsmanship. The American team came in with a superior attitude and when they performed poorly, they still believed the gold was rightfully their's. And so what did they do? They resorted to sensationalizing and criticizing the physical appearance of the Chinese team. Sad. Very sad.

By the way, since when in the history of the sport, did gymnasts ever look like grown women? Certainly not America's Shawn Johnson.

  • @sam333gymnast btw the training is not abuse, its their secret weapon. And because of that training is that they beat everyone. The american olympic team doesnt work more that 5 hours a day!! when i was in level five i trained for 4 hours 4 days a week.

  • They reap the rewards for their almost military work ethic. Good on them. Americans will always look for others to blame for their own misfortunes, you always can tell when it's a yank blabbing shit on these pages... They were outdone, outclassed... Losing in a humble and dignified manner is just as important as winning as such. I saw a young German give Yang Wei a high five, just after Wei had outscored him. That's what I love seeing, and what makes the Olympics so moving.

  • @stahrmonroe Well said mate. Americans are whingeing sore losers, always have been, always will be. I closely watched the gymnastics, and China just had the best. Yang Wei, who took out the men's allround gold, was so superior to the rest it wasn't funny. USA, Russia and Romania have all had their turn, now it's China. I work with lots of Chinese here in Australia, and they tend to become more successful, particularly being self employed, than Australians. Their WORK ETHIC is superior to us

  • @tigerluver3000 Deng probably will be, and Yang too. I really think Cheng should go too, she's the best vaulter.

  • @Kimberson78 and how good are you? The success if from their own hard work and the coach's. In canada, coaches don't push you at all, cuz they don't care. Your parents probably don't have any hopes for you in gymnastics either.

But take any family from any nation, if they believe their child can be the best, they're gonna push hard, work hard and go for it.

  • thay get pushed to hard, my parents dont even care if i go to gymnastics or not, but I LOVE GYMNASTICS !!!!

  • woow i dont see this
