@NineMMAR15 Well it's not really the fact that we have more guns so much as the fact that our we have a more dense population. It's kind of unfair for the anti gun crowd to compare a country with a much smaller population's murder rate to ours. You are right though, it won't stop murders.

@StormShooter24 hey smart guy it is a statistical fact that legal gun ownership does not raise crime it decreases it. only 1-2 % of gun crimes committed in the u.s. are committed by legal gun owners. its only black market guns that are smuggled in that are accountable for most of the death not mention 14000 murders a year doesn't mean gun murders most crimes are a crime of rage and weapons of opportunity which is often knives and blunt objects. so stick to what you know.

@MisterAvis You forgot Mexico, double the US murder rate and guns are 100% illegal there. Most murders in Mexico are stabbings and beatings, 30% are shootings.

By the way it is illegal for the federal gov. to keep a gun registry in the USA. Most states don't require registration. Why would they, crooks always file the cereal numbers off anyway.

these are overall murder rates but in South Africa, for instance "98% of homicides are commited with illegal, unregistered firearms."
