Saturday 23 May 2009: The United Campaign Against Police Violence marched from Trafalgar Square to New Scotland Yard. The campaign, initiated after the scenes around London's financial district during the G20 protests and the death of newspaper seller Ian Tomlinson, who was struck down by a Met TSG riot officer.

The protest surrounded London's central police station, read out the names of those who died in police custody and released black balloons to comemorate the dead.

  • @Wills999333 Its such a shame you have bebrainwashed by the system. either that or you are too ignorant to notce the real reason why we protest. Truth is not ALL police are bad, but the ones who kill should answer for their actions. If I came and murdered a loved one of yours (I wouldn't cos I value all life.) then surely you would want justice. Please look in to this cause a bit deeper and I'm sure you'll change your views, you're human after all.

  • These protesters are complete bunch of losers.

"Police kill everyone" "the police are evil" "disband the police" What a complete load of drivel.
