The double width complete frame uses 180 octahedrons and 6480 magnets. (36 x 15 x 12)
The large triple width dome with open pentagonal faces uses 225 octahedrons and 8100 magnets (36 x 15 x 15).
I think that the dome can be made into a complete ball that will stand up, but I didn't have enough (neo magnet) balls to finish it. If anyone wants to make it you will need 36 x 15 x 20 = 10,800 magnets.
Music track is Oxygene 6 by Jean-Michel Jarre.

@frreeeaaaakkkkkyyyyy I got some discounts for several bulk purchases here in New Zealand as I was building my collection of magnets over time, and spent a total of around NZ$1200 for over 8500 magnets, which is good value at current equivalent of about US$980

@ledwatchman hmm is it an onlineshop? which kind of magnets are it? nanodots or any other? can i pay with paypal? how much magnets must i buy for discount?

@frreeeaaaakkkkkyyyyy I haven't used the international websites, I bought from local traders in NZ that had online stores, I bought NeoQube brand which I'm happy with, I was able to pay with PayPal, I also hear that Zen Magnets and Nanodots are very good. I would say email whichever trader you choose to ask if they will give a discount, I got discounts for 9 'cubes and more.

Cool. Looks really stable.

@koozdra Thanks. These shapes are pretty stable, that octahedron subunit is light but strong and bonds strongly across it's faces. Nice and easy to build in large numbers too which I like.
