  • "THE SUBJECT IS JAZZ" was part of a daily rotating series of programs (usually lectures) produced in 1957-'58 by National Educational Television for classroom use- in co-operation with NBC, who aired them nationally at 5pm(et) to those affiliates who wanted to carry them {in New York, WRCA-TV presented all five half-hours back to back on Sunday mornings!}. I believe "THE SUBJECT IS JAZZ" originally aired on Friday afternoons...
