the guy who wanted to move to japan why would you want do that the last earthquake i heard of was bad also theres alot of earthquakes what are you thinking

Why the hell would you want move to Japan if you want to get away from earthquakes? The seismic activity in California doesn't even compare to the seismic activity in Japan not even close. In Japan you can get a Northridge size quake at least every year, and great ones like the one being shown every decade or 2.

Computer Simulations. They put in data like the magnitude of the earthquake the time of day, estimate of amount of people out that day, building structures, water line locations, stuff like that you know. And the computer does thousands of simulations and then they get the numbers from that.
