I'm sure I am not going to be able to convince you that America is set up to be a two party system, but I am still curious why you think we have always been a two party system is it's not constitution. We've had two parties dominating the political system since 1796 - the first election after Washington.
I would love to hear you talk about how this came to pass.

In a European-style system of proportional representation, a small party that only wins 10% of the vote will get 10% of the seats in parliament. Small parties can survive, so you get a multi-party system.
It doesn't work like that in the US. In this country, a party gets NOTHING if it only wins 10% of the vote. That's why we call our system "winner take all": it's the opposite of proportional representation. The result is inevitable: A two party system.

You're right. Washington did not want to see factions evolve. The Founding Fathers set up the framework for what would evolve, inevitably, into a two party system, but they didn't realize it at the time. The two party system is a direct consequence of the "winner take all" political system we have in the US and which is defined in our Constitution. Compare it to Europe where they have proportional representation. In systems of proportional representation, you have multiple parties.

Why do you think the United States has a two party system, and has since George Washington left office? (We obviously did not have a 2 party system when George Washington was president because almost every American wanted him to be elected.)
I'm curious how you can love the Constitution and the USA but hate our political system (the two party system), which our Founding Fathers invented.

Unless human rights and laws and constitutions are founded in religious dogma they are temporal and powerless against political any monetary policy. What people don't talk about in the same breath when speaking about the constitution was that its authors were highly religious and devout men of God.
The power behind the constitution has always been faith in God. What we have now is a secular political and religious system that has no absolutes and is not welcome in public forums of law

you don't get me at all. there is a rule of law. it was ignored. and the court by not looking at the case let the ruling stand. either way it is political and not justice. courts should be blind but this one had an agenda.

something you and Gary should think about is that you are far to the right of even extremely conservative Supreme Court justices -- Scalia, Thomas, Alito, Roberts. For you to consider these ultraconservatives as puppets for a Marxist New World Order is your right, and it's also deeply entertaining, but please realize that you have placed yourself so far out in orbit on the political spectrum that you might as well call yourself Pluto.

I too think truthfully that Obama is trying to destroy our country intentionally. I still to this day do not believe that he is an American. He is the first president elected that no one knew anything about. He has done so much damage in just six months. Can you image having him for the remaining of his term?
