Wow, you don`t have any idea how much I envy you. To have the opportunity to witness a real oriental cook in a real wood stove would be such a honor. I probably would be forced out because of the tons of questions and pointings.

how long does it take to fire-up that wooden stove?

@boobtuber06 It is actually pretty quick. This one was up and running in about 10 minutes, but traditionally these type of stoves are probably kept lit continuously. When not in use the air is blocked so the coals burn very slowly, basically what was left from the last use. When you need to use it again, you open the vents and trow logs or coal on.

Lots of wok hay for sure.
Classic wok hay dishes like the Malaysian "Char Kway Teow" just don't taste right without the right amount of wok hay. Good luck getting that flavor on your stove without setting the house on fire.
