Who are you to judge what everybody had known? If you really know what you are talking about, you would not assert that the book Mein Kampf contains any kind of information about the holocaust. That is simply not true! The fact that he devoted much space into his hatred aggainst the jews, does not proof anything!! I dont care if your books of fairytales or your childish belief that everybody who had lived at that time commited a crime tell a different story.Just face the truth!

  • @TheLearningFish Stalin and Hitler are the most horrible criminels in 20th century europe. You cannot defend hitler with comparing the crimes of stalin. this is bullshit argument; you are a fucking nazi just have the courage to say it....

yes Churchill did not care about germans and even white russians who were sent back under order of churchill and murdered by staline. But this does not excuse the crime of extermination of the jewish population in europe.

  • @bierbaron6666 so no german and no austrian did reas the book "Mein Kampf"?

Everybody has this book at home. did you read it? everybody knew what hitler wanted to do: exterminate the juifs.... so don t lie to us with your stupid comments that nobody knew. My pqrents new very well but did lie about all their live. Of course everybody knew and nobody wanted to know!!! there is the difference Mister hypocrite

  • @uhartchristian that's preposterous. Unlike Stalin that murdered millions of his people in times of peace, nazi Germany was mostly peaceful (except one significant incident on the Kristal night) until the "total war" and labour camps turned into extermination camps. But that was at the point entire German cities were bombed and destroyed and civil populations were annihilated and burnt alive.

  • @uhartchristian

they did what? First of all I have to agree with you that Hitler destroyed german culture. But Hitler was by far not the only man without a conscience.Stalin for example ordered that everyone who murders a german man or woman is not guilty and wont be persecuted. In the period between 1945-1948 Millions of east germans had to leave their country or even died due to that order. And where was Churchill and the rest of that so called big democrates? They looked the other way!

  • @uhartchristian

You have to take under account that you can only preseve one's culture where it is located. There is no shadow of a doubt that those people regain respect but you have to respect also Furtwänglers preservations otherwise your whole consideration is lopsided. The other side of the coin is, however that Furtwängler was able to fight for the musical society in germany, just because he did not run away!Your assertions notwithstanding, I am concvinced that he made the right choice.

  • @bierbaron6666 I agree its easy to judge and difficult to make the right decisions in life. But its a big bullship to say he had to defend the german culture, its a big excuse but not the reality. USA Britain Russia made a much better job than Furtwaengler concerning saving the german tradition and culture. The nazis destroyed the german culture and those who agreed to work with them did contrubute to this destruction !!!! stop the lies about preserving german culture .

  • @uhartchristian

But that was kind of senseless because she would have been needed in Germany and nowhere else!Furtwängler was strong enough to preserve the culture and the orchestra. He preserved a lot of jews and other unliked musicians,as a result i think he took the right choice to stay.Without his presence in german it would have been horrible for the whole music tradition and cultural life.It is so easy to judge over somebody if one lives in cofortable times like this.

  • . Concerning Furtwaengler I agree he struggled to keep off and couldn t go during the war, as familymembers would have suffered for sure. . Yes he had no choice, but I say he had the choice but did not take the opportunities before the war to leave the country. He was like Elly Ney who prefered to go back to germany although she could have stayed in USA. They prefered the "german culture" I prefer people like the pianist Myra Hess who defended german culture in London during war !!!!

  • @uhartchristian

Furtwängler protected a lot of those unliked artists and musicians. He was the only person who dared to criticise Goebbels in the newspapers and he never did any kind of propaganda stuff for the third reich.Hitler once asked him if he wants to record the nazi anthem and Furtwängler said no way.Than hitler replied:unless you do that, you have to go into prison".Furtwänglers answer:So I am going to be in a good company"Furtwängler protected the art with all of his strength.
