How to Get New Machetes in the Far Cry 2 PC Version

Here's how to get two new machetes in the Far Cry 2 PC version.

1) Go to ubi.com, click on 'Register' and create a ubi.com profile

2) Shut down your web browser and start Far Cry 2

3) In the game menu, click on 'Multiplayer'

4) On the 'Select Profile' screen, click on 'Create' to create a new profile

5) On the next screen, click on 'Online'

6) On the 'Create Online Profile' screen, enter your new ubi.com user name and password in the 'User name' and 'Password' fields.

7) In the 'Online key' field, enter your Far Cry 2 CD key (or the special digital game install key you got if you bought the game online like I did). Here, make sure you enter you CD key exactly as it is, e.g., it's case sensitive and don't forget to add the dashes (-). Also, don't engage CAPS LOCK because you won't be able to enter numbers correctly. When CAPS LOCK is engaged, this screen will enter the alternate characters for numbers instead, e.g., if you try to enter a 7, you'll get an ampersand. So you'll have to enter all the uppercase letters in your CD code by pressing Shift on your keyboard.

8) After you get through that rigamarole, you should see a confirmation screen saying 'New content available' or something like that (sorry, I forgot to include that part in the video). Anyway, once you see that confirmation, you're home free.

9) Go back to the main menu and click on Options - Game

10) On the Game Options screen, you'll see a new option at the bottom called 'Machete Type' giving you the option to use one of three different machetes

-Modern (normal)
-Homemade (featured in this video)
-Primitive

11) Select the Machete type you want, click 'Apply' and start a game (any game, doesn't have to be a new game).

And thats it.
