Hi
As a boy I had and still do have Pinky and Porky singing this.
Great song

Tom Barratt is one of my favourite vocalists. His solo records are few & far between and seem to date 1924-1931.
He was very much in demand as a dance band vocalist 1929-1933. He recorded with Debroy Somers, Percival Mackey and many others.
He seems in his element with this big hit of 1928 (not 1927).
It is a joy to hear and the fact that you saved it from an uncertain certain future, makes it all the more precious.
Thank you for sharing.

It is staggering that a highly breakable item can somehow survive after 73 years.Tom Barratt made 100s of records yet l have never even seen a photo of him.Nice version, but not up to Arthur Roseberry's recording.l love the long hidden mysteries of the 1920s
