What young black girls really feel about OUR natural hair!!! Tyra Banks on natural hair????

Hello all I'm back again and I have company! So Ms. Tyra Banks wants to talk about hair, but we have never seen hers?? How can you encourage young girls to be natural and to be themselves, like YOU, WHEN YOU can't yourself???? That doesn't make sense!! I'll set the example for them all!! Starting with my fam!! she is so smart and cute but her hair is really damaged. She is only 8 and should not have a choice on whether to keep her hair relaxed or not. If someone taught her to love her hair, her thoughts wouldn't be like that.

I always thought natural black hair was so beautiful when it showed off its curls. I never could understand why anyone would want to mess with hot combs or chemicals when they could have such naturally blessed curls. My hair is naturally mostly straight with loose waves. I always wished for curls. But I believe in celebrating whatever you are, so I just let my hair be. I wish everyone could be proud of the hair they were born with.

Honestly I think that girls are always going to want the opposite of what they have. However it doesn't mean that a child has a complex. I honestly had no bad thoughts about naps as a child even though I I was relaxed. I knew that getting my hair combed used to hurt, and when I had a texturizer or a kiddie perm it didn't. That's what I cared about back then. We all wore braids and everyone knew my hair wasn't mine because Everyone was doing it.

aww she so cute, my kid has the same issues n shes 10, i am a new natural n im finally taking care of my hair the right way n its growing like crazy so i cant c me havn healthy hair n hers with breakage, i got her goin natural now cause im the parent n my word is bank, however if she decides to perm again when she gets grown, fine but then she will c the benefits of havn natural hair, but i just have a feeln she will hang with it cause she is really likn the styles she has.
