My first music video. If there is any interest I'll upload some more.
This was only a technical test of the insight camera of my MacBook; just to find out if quality after upload is still acceptable.
This is the beautiful Alexander Scriabin Prelude op.11 no. 10 in C# minor, which is not sooo hard to play. Scriabin was a Russian composer and pianist from the beginning of the 20th century. He was an multi-talented personality, i.e. he made some mysterious paintings which also had some kind of quality. He had a strong tendency to philosophy in terms of apocalyptic ideas. His music is often influenced by those ideas and you can imagine, how hard his life was. Besides Rachmaninov (and in literature Dostojewski and Tolstoi) he reflects for me the "Soul of a past Russia", an intellectual excellence and a moving emotion.
"Good" interpretations of Skriabin works: look for Andrei Gavrilov on Youtube, Itunes, Amazon; there are also some good recordings from Sviatoslav Richter and Vladimir Horowitz
