Anyways a view of the 553 Line in Bridgeton, New Jersey.

These buses have Caterpillar C13 ACERT Allison B-500 WTEC w/ that good ol jake brake.

  • no offense... but its horrible compared to a real jake brake. That is an engine brake... not a jake brake, and suprisingly there is a big difference in the 2.

  • Dude...this is a bus, not a semi. All highway buses use the engine brake aka da jake brake. Very rare you'd see an MCI with an exhaust brake. Exhaust brakes are used on smaller tricks and Dodge Rams. Big Highway coaches use the same Jake Brake on a semi, since most trucks have the Series 60, CAT C13/15 and Cummins ISM as power.
