Starship Troopers is a 1997 American satirical military science fiction film, written by Edward Neumeier (screenplay), directed by Paul Verhoeven, loosely adapted from Starship Troopers, a science fiction novel by Robert A. Heinlein. It was the first of three films released in the Starship Troopers franchise. The film had a budget estimated around $105 million and grossed over $121 million worldwide.

The story follows a young soldier named Johnny Rico and his exploits in the Mobile Infantry, a futuristic military unit. Rico's military career progresses from recruit to non-commissioned officer and finally to officer against the backdrop of an interstellar war between mankind and an arachnoid species known as "the Bugs".

Oh don't worry guys, I just had my shoulder stabbed through by a giant insects sharp javelin like arm. I've been bleeding for quite sometime now and probably have gotten a lot of dirt and grime into the wound maybe causing infection. Don't get me a medic or anything, let's just go straight to the source of the cheers...

OK so at the begining it took like 5 people to kill one bug and in the end 1 guy was laying down shooting about 30 and none were passing him

@matthew3x55 perhaps because they were in a tunnel and before he was injured they all killed a good number of bugs...which led up to blocking a part of the tunnel as they were being killed which would mean that it would be harder for them to get to him :)

@matthew3x55 I think that's partially because of the corpses. When at the bunker, the corpses piles and created a ramp, but in the tunnel, they piled and created a wall, making it harder for the bugs to pass. At least, that's my explanation.
