Just got one of these bad boys as my first pistol. Not first shooting; tried my friends' dx9/40, sr9, couple of glocks. After doing research, i had to own a p226. Got the p226R BTFO with 4mags and one-piece ergo grip. Beautiful pistol indeed.

Whats the average price range for this pistol?

There is a gun show coming up and they sell cheap reload ammos. i was wondering if its ok for the my p226 to be fed with those? I only use mags from Sigs and clean my pistol religiously anyway.

Hope you can help me. I'm debating between the 9mm or 40cal. I hear there's an X-Change kit that may allow me to have both. Have you had any experience with the X-Change kits? Would I need to purchase the 40cal to be able to convert to 9mm, or does that not matter?
