  • Is that a piston valve you are using to control the timing of steam entering the engine?

  • @88Nightrider Yes it is, I cant really say it's my own design, after doing some serious on line investigating, and a lot of thinking and drawing, and using what was in my home and tool box, this was it, (my computer crashed so my only pics are archived somewhere), but i will tell you i got lucky, in one try i got steel, brass, and copper to solder up on the firsts try without getting any solder on the inside where the piston valve slides, did you see my other video of the engine, thanks.

  • niiiice!

  • @sciman001 Please check out my new steam video, upgraded from "steam engine" to "steam generator", and being able to generate power was the original goal.

  • How did you manage to do metal casting at HOME!

  • @XxnegociatorxX I learned to do it on youtube! look up "lost foamcasting" Or "Aluminum casting" Im going to post some casting videos once the weather warms up, Once you learn you wont stop, i can make some cool stuff!

  • Great job on building this really cool steam engine. Nice engineering on your part! I'm a mechanical nut myself, love engines. Any type of engines!

  • dangit i should have used my rc nitro engine for this, shouldnt have sold it

  • @stclairstclair Yes I have seen you other video. I'm very interested in boiler design. Ideal would be able to superheat the steam. But that would probably require a bigger boiler.

I'm Interested in putting a steam engine in a motorcycle at some point.

  • @bg0821 Hi, this is the lower end of an air shock compressor from a late 70's caddy, was not a gas burning engine, But i did use a weed-eater flywheel
