I just rebuilt my motor for my 1970 VW Beetle (Daily driver). This is my 1835cc with 92mm piston and cylinder kit and dual 44mm IDF webers.

  • Was it a 1600cc before you rebuilt it?

  • @AZPONG I was having a problem of my crank/front pulley was slightly moving in and out on my 1776cc. My 1776 had 90.5mm piston/cylinder and a single 34mm solex. Since I had to invest some time and money opening up the motor, I decided to do a slight upgrade on the pistons and dual wbers.

  • what heads do you have? Cam? Most importantly what jets are you running? I have a similar setup and am looking to tune mine better but I need a baseline to start from. thanks
