Hi, I will be moving soon and I wanted to know since we have to leave in the old housing for a year will you recommend that we leave off base then on base? Does the old houses look a little like the new housing?

@Ilovemysailor12 to get the new housing you have to live in the old housing for a year. I am not sure if its just your here for a year or live in housing for a year. the website is forest city housing . they may be able to answer that question better then me.:)

Nice house...military housing has come such a long way in the states, but in Germany its still out of the 80's. lots of space, I like that. Your daughter is so cut, smile. Nice size gaurage. Thats for the tour, but what post/base is this?

Hi, we might be moving out there to Great Lakes. Which would you say is the best housing area? I've heard different things about Chicago....they say to stay up norht lol. Thanks for posting the video, its very helpful for people who are trying to get info about the housing there. .

@jocieusnw I thought it was a house of a young LT. It seems that the military take good care of their enlisted men and their families. Im thinking of applying to Officers Candidate School next year after I finish my Masters degree - if Im not admitted to an doctorate-program. I wonder, how is the housing for junior officers? Secondly, I have read that the officers lives (on base) among the enlisted men. Can my pregnant (soon to be wife) socialize with the enlisted wifes?

@thecolaratlady our house is NOT on base, it is a private community in town by the base. we have a gym and lots of parks everywhere:) all military housing is not the same and it depends on where you live in the country. I have never lived on base so I could not give you my opinion on that.
