First the whites stole their land, destroyed their sacred places. Then the Natives were forced to adapt the western way of living, but were denied access to the western community, forced to live on the least fertile lands, with no resources to make a living from. With a staggering 90% unempoyment and no funding available for education, Pine Ridge residents are prisoners on their own land. This has nothing to do about 'whining', it is just gross unjustice and a shame for the US government.
